Insurance companies are supposed to protect you, not themselves.

“Insurance is a business of promises,” says investment legend and insurance magnate Warren Buffett.

And it’s true. We buy insurance just in case something bad happens. We pay an insurance company money and it promises to protect us.

That’s the deal.

Thankfully, most of the time, nothing happens. The insurance company gets to keep our money and we get to keep our peace of mind.

But, every once in a while, we draw the short straw. We get sick. A loved one dies. A fire or storm damages our home.

And we turn to our insurance company for help.

The law says insurance companies have to treat their customers fairly and in “good faith.” That means giving you the benefit of the doubt. It means paying claims fast and fair. It means protecting you.

Unfortunately, a lot of insurance companies are more interested in protecting themselves.

If your insurance company isn’t upholding its end of the bargain, call us. We can help.
